"Reach your target market cost-effectively by renting opt-in email subscribers" |

Renting Opt-In Email Subscribers
With this service we actively go out and find opt-in subscribers
for you so that you can do
email marketing
by means of a newsletter or ad hoc mailings to this list.
An email newsletter is probably the advertising channel that has the
highest response rate, because if your newsletter is interesting then
people will look forward to receiving it, will actually read it
and will
take action to visit your website or reply as sales leads.
Find out how to write newsletters that will increase your sales.
These subscribers will select your specific newsletter based on a
description that you provide. You will also be able to specify in which
geographic areas and age groups these people must fall.
This means that these people will all be interested in the subject of your newsletter
and will fall within your target market. A list of 1,000
people who want to receive your newsletter and fall within your target market
is worth much more than an untargeted opt-out mailing list of 1,000,000 who will
at best ignore your emails and at worst complain about being spammed.
If after receiving the first copy of your newsletter a subscriber finds
that it is not what they expected, they will unsubscribe. We will then find
more subscribers to replace them. This means that those people who
stay subscribed to your list will all fall within your target market.
The page where people will ask to receive your newsletter is here:
Subscribe To Newsletters.
If you submit your details on that page you'll see our current list of newsletters
on the next page. Please note that you'll only see the newsletters that are
applicable to your age group and geographic location.
We have a pool of more than 99,000 subscribers and we regularly send each one an email
(our Noteworthy Newsletters Update) with a
list of the newsletters that are applicable to their age group and location
and thus invite them back to the website to select more newsletters.
We build up this pool of opt-in subscribers as a side-effect of the viral marketing campaigns
that we do for clients.
Notice how each person must click on a checkbox to indicate that they
want to receive a specific newsletter. In this way they give
their full permission
to receive that newsletter. We record the date and time when they gave
their permission as well as the IP address that they used at the time and
thus there can be no disputes about whether they gave permission or not.
This is what our weekly Noteworthy Newsletters Update looks like
where your newsletter will be listed:
How is renting subscribers different from renting a mailing list?
| Renting a Mailing List |
Renting Opt-In Subscribers |
|
When you rent someone else's mailing list then the recipients have
not specifically asked to receive emails from you, even though they
might have given permission to receive offers from various companies.
Thus, they haven't shown interest yet in your specific products/services.
Thus, you can expect a very low response rate when you send
emails to a rented list.
|
When you rent subscribers from us each person specifically asked to
receive your emails based on the description that you
provided. Thus these people have already shown interest and thus
a high percentage will fall within your target market and you can
expect a high response rate when you email them.
|
|
Companies that rent out email mailing lists don't always have these
people's permission to send emails to them. At the moment sending
opt-out bulk emails is still legal in South Africa, but this is
expected to change soon then it will become illegal to do this.
Thus, if you rent someone else's mailing list you
might be regarded as a spammer and might even
get sued in future.
|
If you rent subscribers from us, each person will give their
full permission to receive emails from you specifically
and we can prove that they gave permission.
Thus, it is perfectly legal and acceptable
and you won't risk tarnishing your company's reputation.
|
|
With each email sent to their mailing list the company that rents out
the list runs the risk that people will unsubscribe from their list.
It is expensive to find new willing subscribers to replace the ones
that unsubscribed. The more emails that are sent to each person, the
higher the risk that they'll unsubscribe. This is why the cost
of renting email mailing lists is very expensive and
about as high as the cost of
renting postal mailing lists.
|
With this service we send each person on our mailing list a single
email once in a while (our Noteworthy Newsletters Update)
asking them to choose which of the latest
newsletters that we have available they want to receive. They then
only receive the newsletters that they chose and we make it easy
and safe for them to unsubscribe again from each newsletter.
Thus, each person on our
mailing list receives only the small number of emails that they
asked to receive. By sending
fewer emails to these people we not only bother them less but we
also reduce the risk that they'll unsubscribe
from our regular Noteworthy Newsletters Update. This lower
risk reduces our cost and makes it possible for us to provide
this service at a much more affordable price.

How it works:
You'll be guided through the following process when you register...
- You register for this service by completing the form below that
includes a description of your newsletter as well as the age groups
of subscribers that you want.
- You'll receive an automated email with log in instructions.
- After you've logged in you'll be able to select the countries
and in some countries the states/provinces where subscribers must live
in order to be allowed to select your newsletter.
- Next you'll be taken to a page where you can buy credits for sending
your newsletter. Each credit allows you to send 1 email to 1 person
through our system. The prices of the credits are shown below.
- As soon as you've paid your newsletter will be activated and then
we will start finding subscribers for you. Your newsletter will then be
visible on our Subscribe To Newsletters
page.
- You can then use our system to compose your newsletter (or import an
email if you have already written it).
- Once you have sent a test email with your newsletter to yourself and
you are satisified with it, then you can make it your current edition.
- As soon as someone selects your newsletter, they will then immediately
be sent your current edition.
Pricing:
You pay for this service by means of pre-paid credits. The credits
never expire. Each credit bought enables you to send 1 edition of your
newsletter to 1 subscriber that we found for you.
Please remember that this is more expensive than sending your
newsletter through our system to subscribers that you found yourself,
because this price includes the commissions that we pay our affiliates
to place advertisements to find subscribers for you.

(This is for a full-page full-colour ad.
It typically costs R30,000 for such an ad in a magazine with a
readership of 200,000.)
|
(Magazines typically count 6 or more readers per copy
sold and thus even if the magazine's subject coincides closely
with your products, you can't expect more than a third of the
readers to actually fall within your target market.)
|
(Magazines are crammed with many advertisements
and articles that all compete for the readers' attention, thus
you can't expect more than 10% to actually stop and read your
advertisement.)

(These lists are sometimes focused on specific
demographics or the roles that people fulfil in companies,
so the percentage that actually fall within your target market
could be the same as with a magazine.)
|
(Since such mailings are actually spam, you can't
expect more than 10% of messages to be read.)

(You can choose to advertise only on websites that closely
match the subjects that your target market are interested in,
but you can't be guaranteed that everyone who stumbles upon
those websites will fall within your target market.)

(Your ad will compete for attention with many other ads
and other content on the same page and people often mentally
block out ads on web pages. Thus, you can't expect more than
10% to actually look at and read your ad.)

pay per click through to their websites. If you are paying
someone per click you need to ensure that they are forwarding
real traffic from real people to you.)
|
(If your ad is not misleading and if the traffic is
coming from a website that you trust, then almost every person
who clicks should be interested in what you have to offer.)
|
(If someone clicked because they are interested in what
your ad promised, then they are very likely to continue to
read what you have on the first page that they see.)

(Only people in the geographic areas and age groups
that you specify are able to select your newsletter. The
precise description that you provide ensures that only people
specifically interested in your subject will select it. Plus,
the fact that people can easily unsubscribe means that only
people who are really interested in your subject will remain
subscribed. All of these factors ensure that more than 90%
of the subscribers that you rent through us are likely to
fall within your target market.)
|
(If you make your newsletter interesting then people
will start to look forward to receiving it and will actually
read it when it arrives. Those who don't read it will
unsubscribe and we'll replace them with new ones. But, people
are sometimes too busy to read even the newsletters that they
usually find interesting, so let's assume just 50% read it.)
|
Note: If you have the budget available for it, our
basic viral marketing
service is even more cost-effective, because you'll receive and own
the data of all the subscribers and will be able
to email them again and again at zero or very little cost.
